9 Month Update

Hello Everyone! I am now 9 months!! I went to my well baby and weighed in at 19lbs and am now 27 inches long! I have two teeth, can crawl, and am doing just great. I have started pulling myself up on my knees and am working hard to stand, so I can "cruise." My favorite babysitters, Ashley and Brandon bought me cupcakes to celebrate this joyous occassion.

My Papa's 30th Birthday!!

My mama, papa and I arrived in Miami on my papa's 30th Birthday!!! YAYA

We stayed at a lovely little hotel, called the Beachcomber, think of it as a B&B in Argentina.... We ate dinner out on the veranda that evening...

The next morning, we had continental breakfast at our hotel, before we explored the city.

My wonderful Auntie D and Uncle John came all the way from South Carolina to celebrate my papa's birthday!

Did I mention that my papa's college buddy, BJ, and his fiance, Julia, also met us in Miami??

Crawling!!!

At 8 1/2 months I can FINALLY crawl!! I've been waiting and waiting for this moment and after much work and anticipation, all of a sudden, I got up and moved forward!!

It's pretty much a whole new world for me....I can't wait to get into everything!

I now can explore even our hallway, down to my own room....

My First Halloween

This was my first Halloween! I was a tigress, of sorts - ggrrr!!!

I had a playdate with my neighbor, Rae (1 week younger than I), and her sister Lila (2 years)...I really enjoyed Rae's piano!

All of us then went to our favorite park for a Halloween party - yay!

Maybe next year, when I'm 1 year old, I can trick or treat with the big kids ;)

Getting Ready for the Winter

My Auntie E got me this cool little hoodie. I've started wearing it out on my walks! Look at how much I've grown in just 7 months!

My 8 Month Update

Gosh so much is happening! For starters, my hair is growing and growing! It's wavy and curly in spots...

I also can get on all fours now, but I'm having trouble moving forward. I kinda just rock and then roll over...can't wait until I can grab my toys in front of me!

I just learned how to wave. I wave all the time now, especially at my reflection in the glass.

My mama got me this cool new toy, a sippy cup, out of which I practice drinking water. I still don't know how to hold it up to tilt the water in my mouth, but I sure am trying!

We are trying to enjoy the last few nice days of Fall in the Chi. Here is mama and I at Lincoln Park. The trees are absolutely beautiful this time of year, you can see the colors in the background.

Hello! I am now 7 whole months!! Rolling is my preferred method of transport. I can roll all the way from the living room into the dining room. See this is me while my parents are eating:

We are enjoying some of the last few days of "nice" weather in Chicago. Here I am at Astor Park. I love to swing!

During Fall there are cool and warm days, I have to get all geared up on the cooler days...

Most importantly, I wanted to let you all know who I am voting for this 2008 Election! I've been following the both campaigns closely and I have to say Obama is the better suited for the change I want. The government has granted me a pass on voting when I'll only be about 9 months at the time of the election, so I'm super excited. You all remember to VOTE too!!

Hello everyone, I'm back! Since turning six months old last week I haven't had much time to do anything! That's because I'm learning to sit by myself, I've started eating pees, carrots, and sweet potatoes, I'm easily doing double rolls, and I'm learning to pronounce syllables like mama and baba. So as you can see I'm super busy! But here's a run down of this last month...

My mama and papa got me my new highchair so I could start eating pees and carrots and stuff. I really don't like peas (go figure!), but I do love carrots and now, sweet potatoes.

These are my parent's friends, Kyle and Tiffany. We went to brunch with them and it was so much fun!
The next weekend was Chicago's Air and Water Show. I met my parents' friend, Mike for the first time.

And we all hung out before going to the rooftop to watch the show:

My Auntie E's Wedding Week

Hello everyone! I got back from Eugene, OR last week for my Aunt Erika's wedding to Uncle Dave and boy did I have a major blast with my mama's side of the family! Now you'll have to wait to see pictures of the actual wedding, because we don't have them yet, but here are just some pics of the week. This was my first day in Oregon with my Aunt Erika and Oma:

This is me, Oma, Auntie Heather, and Opa the next day. Oma and Auntie Heather sang me all kinds of German nursery rhymes which I laughed and laughed to. They were a great singing duo!

The day of the wedding my parents and I went to the Eugene Farmer's Market and bought me a couple croucheted caps for the upcoming winter...bbrrrr!

Every morning we would have breakfast together at the hotel. This was my opa, oma, and Auntie Heather on the morning we left.

This is me and Eden. Eden is one of my Auntie Erika's best friend's daughter. Eden is only 4 months and she lives in Maui. She is super fun and cute!

We lucked out and had an empty middle seat on the plane ride home. I was so pooped I totally crashed.
